On holiday in the summer of 1963 with her family, 17-year-old Frances "Baby" Houseman is mesmerised by the dancing and pounding rhythms of an all-night staff party - and the resort dance instructor Johnny Castle. She soon becomes his leading lady both on-stage and off.
